Electronic and Hazardous Waste Recycling Program Begins in the Strip District

Starting July 24, for the first time since TVs and computers were banned from Pennsylvania landfills in 2010, the City of Pittsburgh will subsidize a twice-weekly option for electronics and household hazardous waste recycling at a drop-off site in the Strip District.

Strip District Mobility & Parking Management Plan in the Works

The City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) is working with consultants Stantec to develop a parking and mobility plan for the Strip District. A successful plan will provide district wide solutions to ease parking and congestion, improve safety and accessibility and make the Strip an even better place to work, visit, live and play.
